PADMAVATHI COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
Diploma in Pharmacy
The Diploma in Pharmacy Course has been approved by the
Government of Tami Nadu vide GO. Ms. No. 999 dated 8.9.1992 and
approved by the Pharmacy Council of India vide GO. No. 1638 dated
21.12.1992. The duration of the course is two years.
Eligibility
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with
Science subjects under
Part III
Examinations
The examinations are conducted by the Directorate of Medical
Education, Government of
Tamil Nadu.
Bachelor of Pharmacy
The Bachelor of Pharmacy degree course has been approved by the
Government of Tamil Nadu vide GO. Ms. No. 1368 dated 21.12.1992 and
affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. This course
has been approved by the All India council for Technical Education
vide F. (P)ET, dated and by the Pharmacy Council of India vide
Resolution N .60/PC 1982 (Ref. No. ). The duration of the course is
four years.
Eligibility
1. Candidates seeking admission in the B. Pharmacy Course should
have obtained not less than 50% of marks in aggregate in Physics,
Chemistry. Mathematics, or Biology / Botany & Zoology taken together
at the qualifying examination (Academic Stream) after a period of 12
years of study.
2. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes I Scheduled Tribes
the minimum marks for admission shall be45%
3. Minimum qualification for admission to II year B. Pharm directly
(under Lateral Entry Category): Should have passed Diploma in
Pharmacy Course as per PCI (E.R. 1991) Regulations and 50% aggregate
marks in HSC Examination with the subjects Physics. Chemistry and
Biology or Mathematics.
Master of Pharmacy
The Master of Pharmacy course is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu
Dr. MGR Medical University and approved by All India Council for
Technical Education vide F. No. The duration of M. Pharmacy course
is two years.
Eligibility
1. Candidates should have passed the B. Pharmacy degree course of
The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other University
recognized as equivalent by The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical
University and also by the All India Council for Technical
Education.
2. Candidates from other than The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical
University shall obtain an eligibility certificate from The Tamil
Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University by remitting the prescribed fee
before seeking admission.

Dissertation
A candidate shall submit a dissertation at the end of the second
year of study and shall be subjected to a viva voce on dissertation.
